Proverbs 28:27

He who gives to the poor will never want, But he who shuts his eyes [from their need] will have many curses. (AMP)

Generosity is the path to blessing; it reflects the heart and nature of God.

We just need to recognize that people can be “poor” in many ways. They can be:

• Poor in encouragement
• Poor in knowledge
• Poor in wisdom
• Poor in opportunity
• Poor in skills and ability
• Poor in health
• Poor in friendship
• Poor in mental and emotional peace

God has made us “rich” in Christ. As we give some of the richness He’s given us to others, they benefit, we benefit and He gets the glory (the praise, honor and credit).

That’s what I call a “win-win-win” scenario.
