Do not even associate with a man given to angry outbursts; Or go [along] with a hot-tempered man,
Or you will learn his [undisciplined] ways And get yourself trapped [in a situation from which it is hard to escape]. (AMP)
As a baby grows, they are greatly influenced by others around them. Initially the parents are the most influential “teachers” of life. The behaviors, morals, and attitudes learned from them define what is “normal” in life.
As the child enters adolescence the influencers in their lives become their peers and the social media they consume. The “normal” of others either builds or chips away at the foundation built by parents.
Finally as adults, we open the door to influence by choosing who we listen to, words we follow, who will be our direct or indirect mentor. In a sense, who will be our god.

Influence is all around us. Look at the “fruit” of an influencer’s life. This will indicate the probable fruit your child will produce. If it is not aligned with God’s precepts and commands, cut it off as soon as possible. Determine early what kind of fruit you want your child to produce.
Then look at your own life. What kind of fruit are you producing? Are you producing any fruit at all? Only by the influence of the Holy Spirit can you produce benefits for yourself, your family, and your circle of influence now and for years to come.
