In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. (AMP)
On any given Sunday afternoon during autumn, millions of people are glued to their televisions (or mobile devices) watching and admiring their favorite athletes. Sometimes we envision ourselves with the skills, accolades and of course, the big contract.
On any given day of the week, we may pick up a copy of the Wall Street Journal or Forbes and read a profile of a successful “rags-to-riches” CEO and dream of having his/her success. We may even talk to our buddies and fantasize about what we would do if we had all that success.

But, the question we have to ask ourselves is, “Are you willing to put in the work that it takes to get the results you desire?”
Putting in the work first starts with getting spiritually prepared. Seek God; draw close to Him. Get direction on your next steps. When you execute His plan for your life, you will have success. (Joshua 1:6-9)
Next, develop a plan with daily goals. Achieving daily goals provides encouragement and keeps you on track.
Next, understand and expect that there will be obstacles and opposition. There will be days you seem to make great progress and other days that will seem like trying to run through ankle-high mud. But determine in your mind to keep moving forward.
Finally, remain humble through the process. Humility keeps you teachable, and keeps you in a mindset where you can hear from the Lord.
Accomplishing His plan for your life will give you a level of satisfaction and fulfillment that will even amaze you.
So, are you just going to talk about it, or are you ready to put in the work?
